We have been learning about patterns in maths this week.

I have made a repeating, growing pattern using corn, apples,  bananas and potatoes to help me figure out what my 8th, 12th and 28th vegetable will be.  The 8th veggie is  a banana, the 12th veggie is a corn, the 28th is a banana.

This week, to end our procedure writing topic, we have been creating our own games. I made a animated video game. My theme was in a cave with tracks.

My speech

 My speech topic is why Beyblades are a sport.

I chose this topic because I know more about it.

When I presented my speech I felt scared and nervous.

What I did well was I had lots of information.

What I could have done better was more eye contact and louder voice.

Speech Topic:  Why Beyblades are a sport.

Did you know Beyblades are a sport? Beyblades are a round spinny toy. They give you points, for a burst finish is 2 points and a ring out finish is 1 point. I believe that Beyblades are a sport, here are my three reasons why.

Firstly, Beyblades are a sport because they wake up your arms and you can have a war with your friends.  You  have to pull out the rlp cord using your arms to make then move giving your arms exercise.

Secondly,  you can have a competition with your friends and a beyblade.  You can get points for what your beyblade does when you rip the cord.  2 points is a burst finish and 1 point is for a ring out finish. 

Finally, beyblades are a versatile sport.  You can play on your own when you use different  launchers.  You can also connect different beyblades together with your friends.  You can play anywhere.

Beyblades are a sport because they wake up your arms, you have competitions and you can play anywhere. Listen up people you never need to use weights again, beyblading is better for your arms.

Birthday Maths

For maths we have been solving problems. We have to use facts we know to help us. Here is one of my problems I have solved.

Crystals

Yesterday with Miss Fletcher we made crystals using hot water and sugar/salt. We had to dissolve the sugar/salt in the water until it was saturated - would not dissolve anymore. We added food colouring then put our shaped pipe cleaner or string into the solution. We have to be patient until crystals form. I made a salt crystal - green and a sugar chystal - blue

Play, Make, Create - Robot Stop

Dissolving and Separating part 1

Today I started some work in my home Science book.  This is the experiment and learning I did.

I found out that hot water dissolves things faster than warm water other than flour. The hot water made the flour go into a big lump.

Maths with M&M's

Today was the first day I was at home for lock down and I wanted some M&Ms but Mummy made me do maths with them before I could eat them.  I did sorting, tallying, counting, adding, subtraction and skip counting in 2's.
